Paris in Brooklyn

What a title.

I met Paris in 2017 in one of the quickest photo shoots of my career. If I remember correctly, she was in a pinch and needed some fast studio digitals to submit to a modeling agency. I had a home studio and so we were able to have a breezy half hour shoot. I knew she’d get signed immediately — she had an incredible look and I couldn’t wait to work together again.

We were able to shoot again in November 2018, fortunately. I rented a location through Peerspace, bought and sourced a bunch of casual womenswear I wanted to shoot (mostly from Madewell, Everyone, and Jeu Illimite), secured a photo assistant and makeup artist, and ordered some breakfast catering. I love when I have the opportunity to work with a full team for a casual shoot like this — everything just feels more polished and intentional.

We ran through a bunch of cozy, “lazy Sunday morning” looks in the 3 hours we booked in the space. I loved how well Paris would switch up expressions, vibes, whole moods — going from super serious and dark to dreamy and blissed-out in seconds. One of my favorite shoots of 2018, hands down.
